Project 1
Milamber is bringing together a number of Partners and is putting in a funding application to the EC (European Commission) for a next generation R&D project on digital libraries and content distribution models.
Historically, EC funding projects have been notoriously hard to secure, however, we have teamed up with PERA (http://www.pera.com/) to help us with this Project. PERA have an 80%+ success rate of applying for EC funds and securing this type of funding.
This journey began in October 2009 with initial meetings to get an understanding of the task ahead and putting in place the Project plan and to get a sense of what would be needed to achieve our goal. In November 2009 we recruited Ashridge Business School and Pearson Education to help us as partners in the Project. And on the 17th Dec 2009 the Project went live with PERA, Pearson, Ashridge, and Milamber holding our Concept Development planning session to scope out our proposal to the EC which must now be written up in great detail before submission on the 17th April 2010.

If at first you don’t succeed try, try again. This time we got the funding! By re-applying to the Technology Strategy Board via their Metadata competition we secured our funding.
