My name is Andy and I am an Entrepreneur.
Milamber is the brand through which business ideas are helped or innovated. The last business Milamber innovated was www.50Lessons.com, and Milamber is currently helping a number of businesses such as www.PIXELearning.com and www.Intellego.co.uk to name a few.
Having moved back from the US to the UK in December 2009, I felt it was time to get moving on some of the business ideas that have been parked for a while. Because until you get down to executing them they stay that – just an idea. And my skill is turning ideas into an envisioned reality and making things happen.
This objective of this blog is to document the experiences and the learning of the journey.
A couple of thoughts and a story to begin with:
1) On the homepage of the Blog is a quote by Henry Ford (1863-1947), the other quote that is relevant to this journey is by Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1626) - ”Knowledge is Power”. Both these quotes resonate for me in today’s business world.
2) When you go to a Conference and the speaker sells to you, most people get bored, switch off, and never remember the speaker again. But if the speaker imparts some engaging knowledge you not only remember this ‘nugget’ of information but the speaker and the brand they represent. What’s more you pass that new found knowledge onto someone else becoming a ‘viral carrier’ and that speaker has gained an ambassador in you.
- For me the power of people to ‘help’ make things happen for you individually or for an organisation is truly fascinating and if a person or an organisation can harness that help especially by using the internet then extraordinary things can happen.
